Goat butchery
I missed the actual slaughter by a few minutes, it had had its throat slit, halal style I imagine because they are mostly Muslims around here. His movements were very swift and precise and within minutes he had skinned it. Every 30 seconds or so he washed his hands in a bucket of water, probably to prevent contamination. There was an old man present watching the proceedings and I took him to be the owner of the goat.
God knows how many health and hygiene regulations he contravened.
A mini mosq
This is Emilion who showed me a mosque that was secretly used during the communist period when all religion was banned. He said he is a Baktashi Muslim, and that they are not very strict, so for example they are allowed to eat pork and drink alcohol. He personally only goes to the mosque on special occasions.
The Skanderberg museum
Skanderberg is a national hero, he's a bit like William Wallace. He lead the Albanian people into battle against the Ottomans in about 1400. The museum is pretty good, much better than the William Wallace one.
